Christina in Venezuela
¡Hola! I’m Jenny’s sister, Christina, and a missionary in Venezuela (our mother’s native country). Venezuela is a beautiful land in South America that unfortunately has been afflicted with political unrest, religious bondage, crime, and poverty for generations. But I believe that the Lord desires to redeem this country for Himself!
Last year the Lord gave me a unique opportunity to see how He is working in Venezuela through various Christian organizations across the nation. I have seen lives transformed through college and church planting ministries, outreaches to the homeless, indigenous ministries, and children’s programs. It is amazing how eagerly Venezuelan people are responding to the Gospel, and it is evident that God’s hand is at work in so many ways!
I am so excited that the Lord has called me to return to Venezuela as an intern with Vida Estudiantil (Campus Crusade for Christ) to evangelize and disciple University students. The vision of the ministry is to WIN, BUILD, and SEND. Our heart is to liberate students from the bondage of sin through the Gospel of Christ (I Corinthians 9:19), ground them in the Word and train them up to be leaders (Colossians 2:6-7), and send these students throughout Venezuela and other nations to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). The college students of today are the future government leaders, missionaries, business professionals, and parents of tomorrow in Venezuela and all over the world. The choices they make now will have an impact on generations to come! But…
“How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?” (Romans 10:14-15)
